Traditional doors are meticulously crafted using a joinery technique,

where each part must fit perfectly to complete the door.

However, in my memories,

traditional doors are more often seen in an unfinished

or disassembled state rather than fully completed.

Since completed doors are immediately sent to their final location,

the images that remain with me are those of the process,

rather than the finished product.

This is why, in my work, I frequently incorporate

not only completed traditional doors

but also disassembled ones.

By capturing the process of how a traditional door is constructed,

I aim to blend both my personal experiences

and memories into the artwork.

Through the process of disassembling and reassembling these doors,

I weave together the beauty of our culture with my own stories.

These disassembled door pieces are not just materials;

they hold precious traces of the environment and time in which I grew up.
